Hémera researcher Leonardo Durán participated as the lead author of the publication Model Forests of Chile and Landscape Governance, published by CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) as part of Issue No. 17 in the Latin American Model Forest Network series.

The document compiles 20 years of Chilean experience in participatory forest management, identifying key factors for effective landscape governance. Based on an analysis of four processes developed in the country, the publication highlights the importance of collaborative work, inclusive decision-making, and coordination among public, private, and community stakeholders to advance sustainable territorial development.

This publication is part of broader efforts to bridge applied research with local practices and to strengthen regional networks of knowledge and cooperation.
